16 October 2026

Bread has been with us for thousands of years – long before we could write, we already knew how to bake bread. It's one of the few dishes that unites almost every culture in the world: every nation has its own version, from a simple rustic loaf, through Italian focaccia, to garlic-scented flatbread. Bread has always been a symbol of hospitality and warmth – for centuries, it was the first thing offered to a guest at the door.

On 16 October, World Bread Day, we want to honour this simplest yet most essential food. At Sobre de la Mesa, we celebrate it our own way – with flavour, warmth, and a touch of luxury.

Bread Soup with Garlic and Herbs – 23 PLN

That day, our menu will feature a bread soup with garlic and herbs – a warming, fragrant dish that has graced autumn tables for generations. It's a simple, comforting soup in which bread, instead of being just a side, becomes the true star of the plate.

The best bread deserves the best butter

To mark World Bread Day, we've prepared something special for everyone dining with us that day – a trio of homemade premium butters, perfect with the fresh bread served in the restaurant:

🧈 Truffle Butter
🧈 Beurre Noisette
🧈 Wild Garlic Butter
