In September, we celebrate one of the world's most iconic dishes – paella. On 20 September, International Paella Day, join us at Sobre de la Mesa for a tasting of two signature versions of this classic: one from the ocean, one straight from the garden.

Paella was born in the fields of Valencia – where farmers cooked their meals outdoors, in a large, flat pan, using whatever they had on hand: rice, vegetables, sometimes rabbit or chicken. From the very beginning, it was a communal dish – cooked for many, eaten straight from the pan, shared around one table.
Today paella travels the world, but its essence remains the same: patience, good rice, and respect for the ingredients.
On 20 September, Sobre de la Mesa pays tribute to this tradition – preparing two paellas that show just how versatile and universal this one dish can be.
